In late July, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) convened the National Drinking Water Advisory Council to brief them on plans to delay and weaken the first-ever Safe Drinking Water Act limits on some PFAS chemicals. In August 2014, the California Legislature passed the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. For the first time, CA groundwater will have to be managed to protect the long-term reliability of the resource.
