Well, Clean Water Action allies at The Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (MassCOSH) fight for that vision every day for all of us. Last Tuesday, November 14th, Clean Water Action joined Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families in releasing the second annual Retailer Report Card. This report grades popular retail chains on how they address the problem of toxic chemicals, that can pose serious health threats, in the products they sell. In Massachusetts, we focused our attention on the TJX Company, since they are headquartered here in Framingham. Mind the Store
Toxic chemicals are in a wide array of consumer products: food, packaging, clothing, sporting goods, toys, electronics, furniture, personal care products, and cleaners, among many others. As consumers, we have power. By coming together with others across the country, we can use our power to make sure that stores sell safer products.
