Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are seeking a New Jersey Environmental Advocate work in a team to plan and implement strategies that build organizational and grassroots political power and advance state-wide initiatives that are focused on solutions to the cumulative and disproportionate threats and adverse impacts from pollution, energy production, goods movement, and climate change.

Responsibilities
•Collaborating with a dedicated staff team to design and execute components of statewide issue campaigns.
•Serving as a representative and fostering relationships within coalitions, campaign partnerships, and theenvironmental and justice communities.
•Coordinating lobbying efforts and facilitating communication with state legislators and agency staff.
•Managing Clean Water Action's electoral activities in New Jersey.
•Assisting in the development and implementation of state communication plans and initiatives includingspeaking opportunities, webinars, web content, action alerts, factsheets, social and traditional media outreach.
•Providing valuable support for CWA's canvass operations, including briefings and materials.
•Managing and updating databases to ensure effective engagement.
•Demonstrated experience in lobbying, organizing, and executing issue-based campaigns and/or electoral initiatives.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and engage diverseaudiences. Proficiency in traditional and social media platforms is highly advantageous.
•Knowledge of environmental issues is desirable, as it enhances the understanding of the organization's focus.
•Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
•Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines in fast-paced campaign and event environments.
•Comfort and adaptability with utilizing various computer technologies, graphics and software tools.
•Access to reliable internet at home and transportation.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts in a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to attend the office per the hybrid schedule, with the remainder of work hours completed remotely. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required; employees will be notified in advance of any schedule changes.
