NOTE: if you are driving and do not need special accommodations, put the parking garage in your GPS, not the museum itself!
ENTRANCE: The Charles River Museum entrance is located on the Charles River Greenway Footpath near Landry Park. (Look for the smokestack on the river.) Parking is offsite. Please see our detailed parking directions below!
TRANSIT: Take the Fitchburg Line to the Waltham Stop (Zone 2), 75 Carter St. Follow directions from Carter Street Parking Lot to museum.
PARKING: The museum is in the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill complex. All of the parking spaces in the complex are reserved for residents. Don’t park here or you will get towed!

Directions from lot to museum:
- Park in the lot
- Take the path that is at the left end of the lot when you are facing the river
- Walk on the footbridge across the river–following signs to the museum
- Turn right to get to the museum entrance.

If you are a vendor or need an accessible entrance:
GPS: 154 Moody Street
Directions:
- Enter the Francis Cabot Lowell Mills complex by turning off of Moody Street right before or right after the Charles River bridge (depending on what direction you are driving in).
- Drive through the parking area to the end.
- Take a right at the SECOND Francis Cabot Lowell Mills sign.
- Drive up to the museum and call one of the staff contacts listed below. A member of the staff will meet you to open the door.
If you are dropping off materials and/or have a driver in the car who can drop off a passenger with a mobility impairment, please complete the drop off and then park the car in one of the above locations.
If you have a mobility impairment and do not have someone with you who can park your car, please contact us for assistance (before the event, if possible).
