Old school communication skills (that’s right – no texting or emailing!), interpersonal skills, critical thinking, diplomacy and persuasion – and other soft skills needed for all successful professional and personal relationships.
Deep knowledge around current environmental and public health issues happening in the US – We work on safe drinking water, environmental justice plastic pollution, toxic chemicals, climate change, and more!
Political organizing – Learn how to influence those in power to create positive change, and successful campaign strategies to help elect strong environmental leaders.
Cultural competency – We live and work in an increasingly global world and believe in the power of a diverse team.
Programmatic opportunities – Work with our program staff on legislation, attend events, and participate in lobby days at your state capitol.
Leadership skills – Here at Clean Water Action there is rapid opportunity for growth within the organization itself and beyond. We work to train future leaders.
Since our founding during the campaign to pass the landmark Clean Water Act in 1972, Clean Water Action has worked to win strong health and environmental protections by bringing issue expertise, solution-oriented thinking and people power to the table.
