Emily Tate

Emily has worked for Clean Water Action since 2004 after moving from Atlanta, GA to escape the heat.  She’s been organizing since and became Phone Canvass Director in 2008. While based in Minnesota, Emily has cross-trained in numerous allied offices throughout the country, including WA, CA, NJ, and IA.

Her background in organizing around labor and poverty-rights issues in the south led her to check out the grassroots work of Clean Water Action. She loves talking to people everyday about what's happening with the environment and inspiring people to get involved. Her favorite thing in the summer is to kayak the rivers and lakes in MN, and in the winter- to learn to embrace winter.
