I first heard about this innovative program a few years ago. One of SurveyMonkey’s co-founders called me to talk about a new program he was launching to help change the business of surveys and polling. The concept was simple: instead of paying people to take surveys and participate in survey-based polling and research – the prevailing model back then – why not turn this into an opportunity for people to give back? Why not appeal to people’s inherent desire to do good and support causes they’re passionate about? Clean Water Fund became one of the first nonprofits to partner with SurveyMonkey on this new model – a model that is based on giving back, rather than personal self-interest.
Looking back on that decision today, there’s no question that people are passionate about the cause of Protecting Clean Water!
