By Jonathan A. Scott, follow Jon on Twitter - @jscottnh Today the U.S. House is engaged in all-out debate on the merits of yet another bad bill that is all too likely to pass along party lines. Backed by a long list of outfits I sure wouldn't trust to protect my water (Big Ag, Dirty Coal, the Fertilizer Institute, National Mining Assoc. & the American Petroleum Institute, the National Pork Producers Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers, National Cattleman’s Beef Association, the Treated Wood Council and of course the US Chamber of Commerce and the Farm Bureau (chosen by polluters as the public face for this dirty water campaign), this House bill would block EPA from protecting our water, including drinking water sources for 1 in 3 Americans. When Dirty Water measures like this prevail everybody loses except for an elite few. That's why we sometimes say "We Can't All Live Downstream." Have you told your US Rep to vote not on this terrible bill yet? Do it now while there's still time using this handy link: http://bit.ly/1Bps8hJ This comes down to a choice between Clean Water and Dirty Water. Also a choice between mindless extremism in support of a special interest agenda serving only a handful of big polluters on one hand and common sense, science and the well-being of millions of Americans on the other. Because the Dirty Water Caucus in the U.S. House has chosen such an unfortunate name for this bad bill we can poke some fun at them while we fight back for clean water. Does this term apply to YOUR Representative? Will it? How will you find out? What will you do about it. Together we can #ProtectCleanWater
