Jennifer Peters
As Water Programs Director, Jennifer spearheads the organization’s national water policy work, including leading our current priority campaign to strengthen Clean Water Act protections for streams, wetlands and other waters. Jennifer has worked on a variety of water policy and watershed management issues for over a decade, in both nonprofit and government sectors. She has BS in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University and a MS in Environmental Policy from Bard College. Jennifer worked with Clean Water from 2011 until 2024 and is currently writing her first novel.

Ngodoo Atume
Ngodoo Atume is originally from Nigeria and has a technical background in Environmental Engineering. As a California Policy Analyst working with Clean Water Action through 2024, her work focused on groundwater management, nitrate contamination control, and the inclusion of underrepresented and vulnerable stakeholders in the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, Central Valley Salinity Alternative Long-Term Sustainability and the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program. She holds a Masters in Sustainable Water Management from Tufts University.

Maureo Fernández y Mora
Originally from New México, Maureo was introduced to the environmental justice movement in high school, and spent time organizing around clean energy replacement in communities of color. He helped campaign to increase the State's renewable energy portfolio and conducted public education to highlight the financial inefficiency and environmental hazards associated with the state's largest energy provider.
Maureo joined Clean Water Action in 2016, beginning as a canvasser and then Massachusetts Drinking Water Advocate. In that role, Maureo built and improved lead service line replacement programs
