Washington DC -- The Biden administration today released its budget request for discretionary spending.
Clean Water Action President and CEO, Bob Wendelgass, released the following response:
"The Biden administration gets it -- we need to invest in the programs that protect our water, tackle the climate crisis, and safeguard our communities. The budget outline makes clear that the Administration understands the urgent need to rebuild and strengthen agencies like EPA in order to make progress on environmental justice, reduce exposure to toxic chemicals like PFAS and lead in our water, and hold corporate polluters accountable. After years of under-investment and cuts, this is a desperately needed blueprint for funding the tools we need to protect our water and health."
