From the time he joined the organization in 1991 to leaving in 2016, he was a go-to source for journalists covering toxics and chemical security issues. He has been quoted in a wide range of national publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, NPR, FOX, and many more.
Terrance Bankston
Terrance was born and reared in Newark, New Jersey. Between 2005 and 2010, Terrance worked as a political operative for the then Mayor and now U.S. Senator, Cory A. Booker, as well as a host of other local, county and state officials. Between 2006 and 2013, Terrance served as a Director of Constituent Affairs for the City of Newark and then Director of the Newark Youth One-Stop Career Center. Since then, Terrance has served as a primary or lead consultant for local and international non-profit organizations including the South Ward Clinton Hill Community Action Group, NewarkDIG, NJ/NY
David Pringle
David has been one of New Jersey's leading environmental advocates, playing a pivotal role in advancing protections and defeating rollbacks in most of the key clean water, air and energy and land use campaigns over that span. He helped found the NJ Highlands Coalition, served as the NJ Assembly Speaker's public health appointee to the Drinking Water Quality Institute, is a Trustee of Consumers for Civil Justice, and served as New Jersey Campaign Director for Clean Water Action until 2018. David continues to work with our New Jersey office as a consultant.

Jamie Smith
Jamie graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Sustainability and Social Justice, and worked with our California ReThink Disposable program as a Waste Prevention Program Assistant.

Thea Louis
Thea Louis was the National Water Projects Coordinator at Clean Water Action until 2023. Her work focused on how the principles of environmental justice can best be incorporated into new and existing initiatives and projects endorsed by and within Clean Water Action, the equity implications of ecological environmental risk factors, and how public policy can address those implications.
