I grew up living on the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound watching my father fish in those waters. Gabi split her time growing up between Maryland and Maine where she grew a love of the natural world. She spends most of her free time birdwatching and hiking through the woods photographing plants. She earned her B.S. in environmental science from the University of Maryland and is currently working toward her MPH in environmental health. Tolani Taylor is the Zero Emissions Warehouse Organizer for Clean Water Action in New Jersey. She graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2021 with a Bachelors in Environmental Science. As the Warehouse Organizer, Tolani's focus is on conducting campaigns pertaining to stopping warehouse projects throughout New Jersey through policy, mobilizing community members, and outreach programs. Marta was raised in the Washington DC area but has lived in a variety of places, now calling the Jersey shore home. After college, she traveled the country as a math and science teacher, including beautiful places such as the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and Puerto Rico. Later, she became a project manager for a large engineering firm as an environmental geologist, investigating and remediating contaminated sites.
