Before beginning her work in her current role as Canvass Director, she worked as a Field Manager and Senior Field Manager for the Field Canvass office in Ann Arbor. I have been working in the environmental and public health non-profit sector for 10 years. My passion is environmental issues and justice. I grew up living on the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound watching my father fish in those waters. As I grew to understand environmental degradation from pollution, the health impacts, and the effects of climate change, I knew that my life's work would be protecting our environment.

Gabi split her time growing up between Maryland and Maine where she grew a love of the natural world. She spends most of her free time birdwatching and hiking through the woods photographing plants. She earned her B.S. in environmental science from the University of Maryland and is currently working toward her MPH in environmental health. Before joining Clean Water Action, Gabi taught biology and environmental science in Prince George’s County.
