Marissa was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area her entire life, and is the Communications Associate at Clean Water Action, Oakland. In the past, her work in communications has helped to push legislative change on a local and state level, including managing the communications and public outreach of campaigns that resulted in the passing of new state laws and local community leaders winning elections.
