Jed Thorp worked at Clean Water's Rhode Island State Director from 2022 to 2024, having previously worked on energy and climate change policy in Clean Water Action's Boston office from 2003-2005. Before returning to Clean Water Action, Jed was the Advocacy Coordinator for Save The Bay (Rhode Island). He got his start in environmental advocacy as a canvasser and field manager for Ohio Citizen Action, spent five years as the Public Involvement Coordinator with the Ohio EPA, and was the Chapter Director for the Ohio Sierra Club before moving to Rhode Island. Jed holds a BA in political science from the University of Findlay (Ohio) and an MA in political science from the University of British Columbia.

Coalition Letter to Governor McKee: Support a Bottle Bill for Rhode Island

A new coalition of state environmental organizations, the Rhode Island Zero Waste Coalition, have sent a joint letter to Governor Dan McKee asking him to support a container deposit law, or “bottle bill,” to fight plastic pollution and increase recycling in Rhode Island.
