The 2026 RI Legislative Session Ended, but the Work Continues!

Rhode Island legislative sessions are short and packed. This session ended with Clean Water Action fending off a last-minute attack on the state law restricting toxic PFAS, but many priority bills remained in limbo as the legislators broke for the summer. Here’s a breakdown of what happened!

Once again, big corporations are trying to roll back hard-won environmental and public health protections that Minnesotans fought for and won in 2023. Contact your legislators and urge them to keep Amara’s Law intact, with no delays and no exemptions!

Fighting for PFAS Free Products in PA!

Going Global

Last week a film crew from France was in Minnesota. Their goal was to gather information about Amara’s Law. They wanted to understand how Minnesota was able to pass such an impactful law while weaving in the personal stories of those of us who have worked to pass the law and have been impacted by PFAS in one way or another. Our state is setting an example for the world. France, Japan, England, Australia have all reached out to work with us and understand more about Amara’s Law. Now is not the time to slow down—we’re just getting started!
