Coal fired power plants produce almost half of our nation's energy supply. The electricity generated from these facilities comes with a high price tag that is often hidden from public view, in the form of toxic coal ash. This dangerous byproduct of coal burning pollutes the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the communities where our families live and work. The unassuming public is left suffering the cost of dangerous health impacts and contaminated water supply while the utility industry continues to profit.

Clean Water Fund's Coal Ash: Florida's Toxic Trash Exposed report  highlights the significant threats to Florida's public health and water resources posed by inadequate coal ash regulation and lack of using best available technology.
