Clean Water Fund is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop strong grassroots environmental leadership and to bring together diverse constituencies to work cooperatively for changes that improve their lives, focused on health, consumer, environmental and community problems. Our top priorities include preventing harm to our health from toxic chemicals, promoting clean energy and climate justice, getting lead and other contaminants out of drinking water, advocating for Zero Waste policies, and electing pro-environment candidates to public office. Ensuring that those most affected by environmental degradation have a voice at the table, and that solutions to environmental problems contribute to broader goals of justice for all, are central principles of all our campaigns.

Clean Water Fund has an open internship position for the Fall of 2024 in the Boston office. This is a temporary remote role with the possibility of onsite meetings and events in the five towns where Clean Water Fund has active campaigns: - Attleboro, Fall River, Taunton, New Bedford, and Westport. The Energy Efficiency Outreach Intern will primarily support the Climate Justice team on our Energy Efficiency and Climate Justice campaigns in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitating energy efficiency outreach at public events, including tabling and distributing informational and educational materials at events such as universities.
• Creating captivating and informative content for sharing on social media, including website articles, blog posts, designing posts, and other multimedia content that centers on Clean Water’s energy efficiency outreach goals.
• Assisting with outreach to renters/landlords in Environmental Justice communities regarding energy efficiency.
• Attending both internal and external meetings, taking notes, and reporting on next steps, while working with team members to plan and execute energy efficiency outreach goals.
• Assisting in putting together campaign materials and research.
• Assisting in the development and presentation of webinars to educate the public about energy efficiency outreach initiatives.
• Assisting the climate justice team in designing and conducting/facilitating energy efficiency workshops.
• Conducting outreach and managing ongoing engagement of the volunteer database.
• Performing administrative work and other tasks as needed.
 

Qualifications

• Clean Water Fund is a hybrid work environment. We are prepared to support an intern remotely through the duration of this internship, with some done work in-person.
•Candidates must be able to complete work and communicate virtually through email, Google Docs, and Slack.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
•Strong communication and speaking skills.

•Multi-tasking skills
•Team orientated and collaborative.
•This is a Hybrid location, applicants must reside in Massachusetts with the ability to travel to Attleboro, Fall River, Taunton, New Bedford, and Westport when needed.
