Are you passionate about environmental advocacy and eager to make a meaningful impact? Clean Water Action is seeking a dynamic Elections Intern to join our team in Boston for the Summer of 2024. This is an incredible opportunity to support our campaigns aimed at electing pro-environment candidates across Massachusetts. As an Elections Intern, you'll craft compelling content, conduct research on candidates, engage with campaign staff, and immerse yourself in grassroots activism. Responsibilities 

  • Writing content for website articles, blog posts, email communications, etc.
  • Researching and compiling information about candidates.
  • Communicating with campaign staff of candidates to obtain information about the candidate’s position on environmental issues.
  • Helping to organize meetings of Clean Water Action’s elections committee.
  • Researching and compiling about campaigns, ballot questions, legislator voting records, candidates’ alignment and looking up information on races and districts.
  • Administrative tasks as may be assigned such as data entry.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Passion for protecting human health and the environment.
  • Strong interest in elections work.
  • Solid computer skills (competent in working with Word, Excel, Internet, etc.);
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Well organized
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong writing skills is a plus.
  • Familiarity with campaign organizing in a variety of racial and socio-economic communities, and/or communications is highly desired.
