Wynnie-Fred is the Executive Director of the Weequahic Park Association, a Park Conservancy and Environmental Justice organization. She was appointed by the Mayor of Newark, NJ and the Municipal City Council to the Newark Environmental Commission on October 2015.  She is a member of the Newark Water Group, a grass-roots think tank and advocacy organization that advocates for better oversight of Newark’s Watershed, located in the NJ Highlands, and its Water and Sewer System, and also a New Jersey Clean Water Action Board Member.
