Major Gifts Officer
Connie St. John serves as the Major Gifts Officer for Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund, stewarding the generous donors whose giving helps support the important work of both organizations.
Connie has extensive nonprofit management and fundraising experience, having served as President & Executive Director of the Neighborhood Music School in Los Angeles and as Regional Executive Director for Pacific Region OASIS, lifelong learning centers for older adults. Connie has also worked in Washington, D.C. as a meeting and convention planner for the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
As a corporate and entertainment executive, Connie has worked with several high-profile companies in marketing and public relations, including Columbia TriStar (Sony)Television and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) in Los Angeles, Sara Lee Corporation and Harpo Productions, Inc. / The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago, and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and CNN in Atlanta.
Connie cares deeply about quality of life for all people, especially the disenfranchised, which is why she fell in love with Clean Water Action. Her specialties and passions are storytelling, innovative education, and business management. She serves as the board president of Women in Film & Video (DC) and previously served as co-president of the LACHSA Foundation, which funds the arts programs at the number one arts high school in the country – L.A. County High School for the Arts. She is also fascinated by law.
Connie currently resides in the DC area. She is the proud mother of an amazing and talented singer/songwriter, ZORA, her heartbeat.
