REI’s announcement that it will ban PFAS “forever” chemicals (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in all textile products and cookware from its suppliers, in a major update to its “Product Impact Standards” for its 1,000+ brand partners. REI’s restrictions take effect in the fall of 2024 for cookware and textile products including, but not limited to, apparel, accessories, footwear, packs, and bags. EPA, which eliminated protections for over half of our country’s wetlands and likely millions of miles of streams, rivers, lakes, streams, wetlands, groundwater, and coastal waters

Pushing for the removal of lead pipes out of our nation’s water systems, and helping connect more communities to historic federal funding to replace lead service lines through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act.

Reducing the proliferation of single-use plastics and challenging harmful waste disposal practices.

Fighting to block polluting pipelines, close dangerous wastewater pits and stop reckless investment in other infrastructure that would enable more oil and gas production.
