The election is tomorrow. Clean Water Staff across the country will be blogging about what it means nationally and locally. Check back for more. Unless you've voted early by mail or in person (and good for you, if you have. Especially those who braved hours-long lines in Florida, Ohio, and other states where the ), you have to vote tomorrow. Make it easy, make a plan Life's busy, crazy even.  From work to kids to school to dinner to cleaning out from Hurricane Sandy - you've got a ton going on. Voting may not seem like a top priority. But we need you. Maybe now more than ever. Find out where you can vote here. This election is so very important and the choice is very stark. President has cut mercury emissions from power plants, raised fuel standards for cars, and begun to regulate pollution from fracking. He's nearly completed new rules to protect the drinking water for more than a third of us, has proposed reductions to greenhouse gases from new power plants, and actually wants to do something about climate change. That's just the environmental stuff  (and there will be more in a second term). He's the first President to reform our healthcare and move us closer to universal coverage. He's stood up for equality and civil rights and women's rights and students rights. He's not prefect (no president ever is,  not even Josiah Bartlett), but he's accomplished a lot of good  and I am voting for him without reservation. In fact, I've already voted (we're all mail-in* here in Washington State).  Why don't you join me? We really could use you. Making a plan is easy, just answer these questions: Where's your polling place? What are the hours (generally 7am-8pm, in most states)? How do you get there? Can you bring friends (remember the first rule of voting - never vote alone!)? Get all of that information and more at Rock the Vote's Election Center. Please, make you plan and VOTE. We're counting on you. *A note to all my mail-in ballot friends: get your ballot signed, stamped, and postmarked by tomorrow, November 6th. Most mail-in counties also have drop boxes throughout the county if you can't find a stamp.
