Yale Environmental Fellow

Troy Wynne grew up in Washington, DC, and graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. She currently lives in San Diego, California, where she is a Ph.D. student in the Joint Doctoral Program in Ecology at SDSU and UC Davis, specializing in marine and coastal conservation ecology. Her academic journey is not only defined by a pursuit of ecological knowledge but also by a deep commitment to environmental and social justice causes.

Beyond her research endeavors, Troy serves as the Community Manager at Black in Marine Science and is an active member of Black Women in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Science. She is dedicated to fostering diversity within the marine science community and working towards a more inclusive and representative field. Troy Wynne is joining Clean Water Action on the National Campaigns Team as a Yale Environmental Fellow for the summer.
