Mara Silgailis PhD

Mara has been interested in the environment for as long as she can remember. Her graduate school studies (PhD - Developmental Psychology) led to a deeper understanding of how the environment we are exposed to has effects on our health. Some of the issues and groups she has been involved with are: pesticides and Integrated Pest Management (NJ DEP and Cedar Grove), lead, solid waste, Cedar Grove Environmental Commission member, Clean Water Action Board member, organic gardening, organic food, and consulting and writing about the environment and health.
