Clean Water Action Endorses Jon Hoadley for Congress

Wednesday, April 29, 2020

LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Jon Hoadley for Michigan’s 6th Congressional District.

“During his six years in the Michigan State House, Jon Hoadley has been a consistent and strong advocate for our Great Lakes and climate," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "We know that in Congress Representative Hoadley will continue standing up for Michiganders and protecting our most valuable natural resource.”

Throughout his career as an elected official, Jon Hoadley has been a champion for the environment. He introduced legislation to expand Michigan’s bottle bill to cover non-carbonated beverages, supported legislation to hold corporate polluters accountable, and opposed all of the major attacks on our environment that were proposed during the Snyder administration. In his current term Representative Hoadley has co-sponsored legislation to restore Michigan’s polluter pay law, repeal the No Stricter than Federal law passed during the 2018 lame duck session, and protect our water as a public resource instead of treating it as a commodity.

“Jon Hoadley has been a leader in Lansing fighting for the health of our environment and our communities. He will be a strong voice for clean energy, our drinking water and Great Lakes in DC.,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse his campaign and look forward to working with him in Congress. The choice couldn’t be clearer – Jon Hoadley for Michigan’s 6th congressional district.”
