Clean Water Action Endorses Andy Levin for Congress
LANSING- Today, Clean Water Action announced its endorsement of Andy Levin for Michigan’s 9th Congressional District.
“We need champions in Congress who are committed to achieving a 100% renewable energy future and Andy Levin has been that champion in Congress," said Mary Brady-Enerson, Clean Water Action Michigan Director. "We know that during his second term, Representative Levin will continue fighting for Michigan families and leading the way toward addressing the climate crisis,” concluded Brady-Enerson.
In his first term in Congress, Representative Levin was an original co-sponsor of the Green New Deal Resolution. He also sponsored the PFAS Safe Disposal Act, which would require the EPA to set standards for PFAS emissions from incineration, and pushed the EPA to thoroughly clean up the Madison Heights “green ooze” site in his district.
“We are confident that Representative Levin will continue to lead the way on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our water resources,” said Brady-Enerson. “We are proud to endorse his campaign and look forward to continuing to work with him to protect our climate and our Great Lakes.”
