As the second largest producer of natural gas in the nation Pennsylvania is responsible for roughly 1% of global man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

As the federal government rolls back protections on oil and gas operations, it’s even more critical that Pennsylvania step up and lead by controlling methane and air pollution from the thousands of existing oil and gas wells in the Commonwealth. By doing so we’ll be able to better protect public health and addressees the climate impacts of this pollution.

Email DEP Secretary Patrick McDonnell and demand the strong controls for methane emissions from existing oil and gas operations.
