Moses Nelson

Western Pennsylvania Community Engagement Director

Moses, originally born and raised in New haven, CT, finished his undergraduate work at Southern CT State University in political science and obtained his Master's Degree from The George Washington University in DC.  But his passion for community service actually started while working with campaigns and community organizations when he was in middle school.  In 2007, he took the short trip to NH to volunteer for them Senator Obama’s campaign for the Democratic nomination.

In 2008, he was plucked to work in the battleground state of Michigan through the general election. This experience sparked his longtime desire to get into electioneering and learning more about campaigns. He rejoined the Presidential Re-election campaign in 2012, but this time in Pittsburgh. Over the next 6 years he would work on and run many campaigns at all levels of government in varying roles, most recently helping underdog Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang as his South Carolina State Field Director where he created a field program from scratch that could withstand the pressure of being one of the early states. He now joins our efforts in Pittsburgh to promote and advance our environmental campagins and ultimately save lives.
