Program Director

Michael Bochynski is a community organizer with more than 10 years experience organizing state and National campaigns in California, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

Michael started as a field canvasser in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently serves as the D.C. Program Director and supervises our programs in the Washington D.C. metropolitan region including the District, Northern Virginia, and Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland. Over the years, Michael has worked with communities and local leaders to secure victories on issues such as coal ash pollution, equitable development, green infrastructure, and litter.

Michael graduated from San Francisco State University and holds dual degrees in Urban Planning and Liberal Arts. When he isn’t organizing or campaigning, Michael loves spending time with his two daughters or exploring urban and natural environments with family and friends.
